Bring a valid driving licence for the class, passport or national ID, and an international driving permit when Ugandan law or the insurer asks for one. We copy these at handover. Only named drivers drive.
Which vehicle
RAV4 class for Kampala, Entebbe, Jinja, and sealed-road circuits. Prado or Land Cruiser for parks and rain-season gravel. Vans and coasters are usually with a Stim driver. See the fleet.
Seasons
Uganda has two wetter periods in much of the country (around March–May and September–November). Park tracks change. If your dates sit in the rains, say so — we will not put you in a city sedan for Bwindi mud.
Fuel and distance
Fill before long legs (Kidepo, the southwest, Murchison). Stations thin out. The hire rate does not include fuel.
Parks
UWA sells the permit. We sell the car. Rangers and park rules are theirs. A guide at the gate is optional and paid there, not bundled unless your quote says so.
