Self-drive into Kenya (Malaba / Busia), Rwanda (Katuna, Cyanika, Kagitumba), or Tanzania (Mutukula) needs Stim’s written OK, extra insurance/COMESA paperwork where required, and time at the one-stop border. These are not a surprise add-on at the gate.

What we will not assume
DRC and Burundi are not on a standard Uganda hire. If a quote does not name the border, you may not take the car there.
One-way drop
Leaving the car in Nairobi or Kigali is a different product. Price it. Do not invent it at the border.
